The main reasons behind surveillance audit are to ensure the following:

1. Hazard Identification & Assessment Controls
2. Compliance towards Legal & Other requirement including customer requirements
3. Ensure that the clients management system which was basis of grant of certificate has beenmaintained on continuous basis.
4. Verify and ensure that any changes to management system which might have taken placesince last audit meet the requirement of the standard/ specification and implementedeffectively
5. Ensure on-site audits assessing the certified client’s management system’s fulfilment ofspecified requirements with respect to the standard to which the certification is granted.
6. Ensure that the management system continues to be appropriate to the product/ process/service offered by client, with the capability of managing and improving performance.
